Weronika Anna Izert
Weronika Anna Izert is a Polish viola player, born in Warsaw. In 2019 she graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw in the class of Prof. Dorota Sroczynska, where she also received a diploma in pedagogical studies, and in 2021 she graduated from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna under the tutelage of Prof. H. P. Ochsenhofer with a Master of Arts degree.
Over the course of her long artistic education, she participated as a violist in many projects and various concerts, gaining extensive experience in solo, chamber and symphonic music. Through numerous artistic projects, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from prominent artist-musicians and conductors, and to perform in prestigious concert halls around the world.
She was a member of academies and youth orchestras like the European Union Youth Orchestra touring Europe and Asia. She has honed her skills during many solo, chamber and orchestral masterclasses in Poland, Austria, Italy and Germany. She has also had the opportunity to perform under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph von Dohnányi, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Vasily Petrenko, Ernst Kovacic, Patrick Davin, Sian Edwards, Andres Orozco-Estrada, Erwin Ortner, among others.
She is a very active musician and enjoys taking part in various artistic projects, which give her the opportunity for continuous development. She has always taken great pleasure in chamber music. She has had the opportunity to take many lessons with members of recognized string quartets such as the Royal String Quartet, Artis Quartett Wien, Wilanow String Quartet, Eggner Trio.
Since 2023, she has been a member of two string quartets, Amai and CIPRA, with which she participates in numerous concerts and festivals in Austria and Europe, and has become a member of the Amman Chamber Orchestra in Jordan. Furthermore, in October 2023, together with the Amai Quartet, she began her education at the established Stauffer Academy in Cremona under the Quartetto di Cremona. She also performs with ensembles such as the WISE: Wien-International Soloists Ensemble, Webern Kammerphilharmonie, Camerata Polonia and the Vienna Ensemble.
Since February 2023 she has been playing the viola built together by Dariusz Korcz and Tadeusz Rapacz.
