Cultural Guide for Central Europe 2021 - Culture in Exile

End of December I was invited by the Institute for Danube Region and Central Europe ( IDM: Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa ) after the 8th edition of VaClaF: Vares Classic Festival “In Exile” caught their attention, to write an article for their quarterly publication “Info Europa”, published in printed version (50.000 booklets with daily newspaper Die Presse ) and available worldwide online free of charge.

The first theme-booklet of the year, with my article in it, has been finally published today: Cultural Guide for Central Europe 2021 - “Culture in Exile”.

I feel very honoured and privileged to share these pages with many other extraordinary people, artists, authors. Exile as a theme has so many layers, which I have also tried to unfold.

Therefore, for my first article in German, upon request, I have decided to share my story and the story of my first and most special festival, which has given me and thought me so much. Most importantly, to continue to believe and create in the field of musical art, to follow my dreams and make my own, unique path.

With this I am beginning to write more about the different aspects of cultural work I have been doing in the past years and sharing my experiences, knowledge and ideals. So, do expect the stories to continue.

Meanwhile, feel welcome to subscribe to the IDM publications and consider supporting their extraordinary work by becoming a member.

In the end, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Vares Classic Festival over the years, especially in the almost impossible 2020 edition. As well, thank you to the IDM and Ms Daniela Neubacher for the invitation and opportunity to share my story and the story of this very special festival also in this form. Last but not least, thank you to Christiane Palzer, who helped me organise all the languages in my head and inspired me once again to do, write and create more.

Until the next reading and listening!

Lots of love to you all,

A.
